Web app
Everything for anime-powered Japanese — in one player
Pick a show, start an episode and click any word you don't know — Animei shows the meaning and saves the word together with the line and the scene. Nothing to install, and on your phone it lives like a regular app.
How to use it
From launch to your first flashcards — in a couple of minutes
01
Find an anime in the catalog
Type a title into the search — the catalog finds the show and shows its rating and episode count. No torrents, files or separate subtitle sites: pick a card and you're already watching.
02
Watch with Japanese subtitles
Original voices, Japanese subtitles and a translation — everything synced to every line. On the right is the whole dialogue feed: you can see what was said and what's coming.
03
Click unfamiliar words
Every word in the subtitles is clickable. One click brings up a card: meaning, reading, part of speech and the phrase the word appeared in. Hit “Add to collection” — and keep watching, the word isn't going anywhere.
Then — review
Collected words become flashcards. The app reminds you to review them right when you're about to forget — and each card keeps the phrase from the anime and the moment of the scene.
Hotkeys, so you never look away
Space pause, A replay the line, S auto-pause after each phrase, D next line. Hands stay on the keyboard, eyes on the scene.
