Usage and nuance
Konosuba's Kazuma declares 俺たちの冒険が始まるんだ!, "our adventure begins!", and Frieren shrugs 冒険者なんてこんなものだよ, "that's what adventurers are like". 冒険者ギルド is the standard fantasy guild.
It also means "a risk" or "a gamble". それは冒険だ is "that's a risky move", used about anything from a business plan to a bold haircut.
冒険 pairs naturally with 魔法 (mahou, magic), 魔王 (maou, the demon king) and 仲間 (nakama, companions), the core vocabulary of fantasy anime.
