Japanese vocabulary from anime

42 series, 2,515 words, all taken from the Japanese subtitles of each show's first episodes. Every list gives the kana, romaji, meaning and JLPT level, plus one line from the show where the word comes up.

The order goes from the gentlest start to the hardest, by how many of a show's frequent words are JLPT N5–N4. If you are just past kana, start near the top.
