Usage and nuance
The object takes を: 自分を信じろ is "believe in yourself". Dropped to one word, 信じて is a plea for trust and 信じろ is a command.
信じられない is also everyday Japanese for "unbelievable!" and shows up in comedies as much as in dramas. Satoru in Erased says it about the events around him; Mob says it about himself.
The noun 信頼 (shinrai) is "trust" in the sense of reliability, used about partners and teams. 信じる is the warmer, more personal verb.
