Usage and nuance
Learners know 気持ち from memes, but in anime it is overwhelmingly used for emotions: 気持ちを伝える ("to convey one's feelings") is the goal of every romance confession, including Toradora's and Violet Evergarden's.
気持ち悪い, often shortened to キモい (kimoi), is a strong insult meaning "creepy". Chainsaw Man's characters use it freely.
Compare 気分 (kibun), which is a mood or physical condition, and 感情 (kanjou), which is emotion as a concept. 気持ち sits between them, personal and concrete.
