きっとKitto: what it means in anime
きっと · kitto
surely; definitely
Kitto means "surely", "I bet" or "most likely". It expresses a strong guess or hope, not a proven fact: きっと大丈夫 is "it'll surely be fine".

Usage and nuance
Your Lie in April's Kousei says きっと僕には何もないから, "because I probably have nothing". In The Promised Neverland a sharp kid deduces それはきっとママの指示だ, "that must be Mom's order". Both are confident guesses.
Compared with its neighbours: 絶対 (zettai) is certainty, "absolutely", and 必ず (kanarazu) is "without fail", used for promises and rules. きっと is the softer, hopeful one.
Song lyrics and farewells love it: きっとまた会える, "I'm sure we'll meet again".
