Tashika (確か): what it means in anime
確か
たしか · tashika · certain; if I remember right JLPT N4
Tashika has two jobs. 確かに means "certainly" or "true, you have a point". 確か on its own means "if I remember right": 確か明日だった ("it was tomorrow, I think").

Usage and nuance
確かに is the sound of someone conceding a point in an argument, and it is everywhere in anime banter. Horimiya and Haikyu use it in nearly every episode.
The hedging sense surprises learners because the kanji means "certain". The logic is "I'm fairly sure", and it lets a speaker commit to a fact without full confidence.
The verb 確かめる (tashikameru) is "to check, to make sure", and 確認 (kakunin) is "confirmation" in formal speech.
